Visionary Indigenous midwife celebrated with inaugural Layton Indigenous Award when women's health under threat
On Wednesday 11 May at 1.00pm the Institute for Change Leaders and the Douglas Coldwell Layton Foundation will present the inaugural Jack Layton Indigenous Leadership Award to reproductive justice advocate Ellen Blais:

The Layton Indigenous Leadership Award, part of the Layton Legacy project, carries on the late Jack Layton’s important work by recognizing and supporting Indigenous activists who are powerful changemakers. This $5,000 award includes the opportunity to receive leadership training at the ICL.
